Entry Form

The Mersea week entry form 2016 must be completed to show ALL races to be entered.

Completed forms should be delivered to ‘Mersea Week’, c/o West Mersea Yacht Club, by 13 Aug 14:00, accompanied by the appropriate fee.

Entries for the Round the Island Race MUST be made on the separate Entry Form found on this website.

Please give full details as requested. Insufficient information will result in your boat being handicapped at the discretion of the Race Committee.

Please make cheques payable to “Mersea Week”. Do NOT include entry fees for the “Town Regatta” or “Round the Island Race”. The Entry Fees are as below:

Late Entries

The closing date for Entries is 13 Aug 14:00 .

Late Entries may be accepted up to 09:00 ON THE RACE DAY at the Race Office when accompanied by the Late Entry Fee.

West Mersea Yacht Club will not accept Late Entries for the Round the Island Race. The closing date for the RIR is 14:00 hrs. on Wednesday 17th  August  2016 @ WMYC

Sailing Instructions

Attention is drawn to all Sailing Instructions (SIs): before entering, please read carefully the SIs available from this website and also in the programme, especially A4 (Insurance) and A5 (Handicaps).

Entries are accepted only on the understanding that competitors are aware of these SIs, and accept their obligation to abide by them.

Please note all helms under the age of 12yrs must have competed in the outside fleet in Mersea Cadet Week 2016.

Liability

The Race Organisers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner/competitor, their skipper or crew, as a result of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner/competitor warrants the suitability of their craft for the race or races. 

Admission to West Mersea Yacht Club and Dabchicks Sailing Club

By invitation of the Commodores and General Committees of West Mersea Yacht Club and Dabchicks Sailing Club, all competitors, support boat skippers and their crews are invited to consider themselves honorary members of both Clubs for the duration of the event.
